2007-01-24 18:33 - Supreme Commander cheat
After some fiddling with Supreme Commander, I found out how to cheat in a skirmish game. Of course, you first have to start the game with "Cheats: on". You can then copy & paste units. Select a unit, press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [C] to copy it. Now press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [V] to paste it. Lather, rinse, repeat.
With this, you can create mutliple commanders to build super fast. You can also build a single unit, then copy it multiple times to create an army. The pasted units appear below the mouse cursor, so be creative with their placement. Be careful, though. The game can crash if you paste too many units at the same location.
Also note that this method isn't restricted to copying single units - you can select an entire group and copy that. This means every copy & paste action can double your strength!
By the way, I seem to be the first one to publish a cheat for this marvellous game!

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten this to work in the demo yet. The cheat does work on the multiplayer beta version of the game. There you can choose to enable cheating before you enter the game.
Tomorrow I'll be the lucky owner of the officially released game. I'll let you know whether it works, and provide more details if things are unclear. Maybe I'll even find more cheats :)

The game was in store earlier than anticipated! The cheat indeed works in the retail version as well, at least in skirmish mode.

Nice, worked for me. Must say though, that's quite a unique cheat, I've never seen that kinda cheat before. Pretty handy, makes it easy to learn all the ugrades and what not.

I used this on the ACU and i had 50 of them, but there was two bad things about having that much ACUs, 1: I couldn't see the screen so I had to use the map. 2: When I killed the enemy ACU the explosion destroyed everything on the map and crashed my PC so no one won! LOL (damnit I forgot you could turn the avatars off lol)
