License

The licenses for most software are designed to take away your freedom to share and change it. By contrast, the licenses used by me are intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change this free software -- to make sure the software is free for all its users.

The software

All the software on this website, even when this is not stated explicitly, is licensed under the GNU Public License. This license is designed to ensure the software remains free. When I talk about free software I talk about freedom, not price. If someone wants to charge money for the software and people are willing to pay for it, let them do so. It would be nice if I saw something of that money too, but that's up to you.

Everybody is free to download and use the software, to make copies and distribute them, to improve the software and distribute those improved versions. This license is designed to ensure that those freedoms can not be taken away. The software must remain free.

The photos

My photos, including the one in the photography section, are licenced under different licenses. Most of them fall under a Creative Commons Licence, but others don't. Click on them until you get to the Flickr page where they are hosted, there you'll be able to see the specific license.

If you have any doubts, just ask me about it.

The website

The written content on this website is licenced under a Creative Commons Licence. Basically it is the same kind of license as the above GNU Public License, but then a copyright on this website.
