Joe McNally shows history of NG from 1992

One of my photographic heroes, Joe McNally, wrote a blog post looking back 20 years at National Geographic. He also has a video from back in 1992 about the process of National Geographic, from the photograph via editing, more editing, and then finally to print. It’s very cool to look at, if not for the story then at least for the hair.

I find it striking how much Joe looks like what I feel is a typical NY photographer back in the days. I would see him shoot alongside Peter Parker any day.
